We will be pleased to welcome you to WasteEng08: 2nd International Conference on
Engineering for Waste Valorisation to be held at the Convention Centre, University of
Patras, Greece on June 3-5, 2008.

We expect that this Second WasteEng Conference will be as successful as the first
(hosted in Albi, France on May 2005, www.wasteeng.org) in bringing together representatives from academic
institutions, industry and public organizations with the aim of collecting, exchanging and
promoting the Valorisation of Waste (municipal, industrial, agricultural, construction
and demolition) to Energy (ethanol, hydrogen, biogas, biofuel, RDF, pyrolysis products)
and Materials (raw, secondary and recycled materials).

The Conference venue is at the beautiful city of Patras in Western Greece. The region offers
easy access to famous antiquities such as Olympia, Delphi and Epidavros as well as some beautiful
sunny beaches on the coast and on the nearby Ionian islands.
